Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West organizes road safety drive, bike rally

Jamshedpur, August 3: The Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West (RCJW), in collaboration with Jamshedpur Police and in association with Kolhan Petroleum Dealers Association, Tata Steel UISL (JUSCO), Rotaract Club of Karim City College, and Rotaractors of Jamshedpur, organized a Road Safety Drive followed by a Safety Bike Rally to raise awareness about road safety.
Chief Guest Kishore Kaushal, SSP Singhbhum East, spoke extensively about the importance of safety to prevent accidents that could result in serious injuries and loss of life. On the occasion, he unveiled a Safety Board with the message ‘Helmet Nahi Toh Fuel Nahi,’ which will be installed at all petrol pumps in Jamshedpur.
DSP Traffic Sanjay Kumar conducted a Safety Quiz for students, including Rotaractors, to raise awareness about road safety and distributed prizes to the winners.
Bikers will ride to various destinations to spread awareness. Dr. Mohammad Reyaz, Principal of Karim City College, addressed the gathering on the importance of safety in everyone’s life. Rotarian Ashok Jha, Patron of Kolhan Petroleum Dealers Association, pledged to support all safety initiatives of Jamshedpur Police and RCJW.
Kolhan Petroleum Dealers Association was the main sponsor of this project. Rotarian Dr. Amit Mukherjee, President of Rotary Jamshedpur West, welcomed the guests.
Rotarian PP Anjani Nidhi conducted the program.
Dr. Uddham Singh guided the members of the Rotaract Club of Karim City College and provided support in organizing the program.
Rotaract DRR Rinku Kumar and Rotaract Prashant Kumar played significant roles in organizing the rally.
Rotarian Ashok Jha (President Elect) proposed the vote of thanks. Rotarian Deepti Singh, Club Secretary, along with a large number of Rotary Jamshedpur West members and their spouses, members of other Rotary Clubs, Rotaractors, Police Department officials, Petroleum Dealers and students were present.
