Jamshedpur, June 28: A 70-year-old woman has gone missing from the Sonari area after leaving her home for a morning walk, prompting her family to lodge a missing person complaint with the Sonari police station.
According to the complaint filed by her son, Alankar Tamadia, a resident of Sonari East, his mother, Saraswati Devi, left home at around 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, for her routine morning walk. However, she did not return home, leading the family to launch a search before approaching the police.
Family members informed the police that Saraswati Devi is mentally unwell and suffers from memory loss. They suspect she may have wandered away during her walk and lost her way.
Police said Saraswati Devi is around 70 years old, about five feet tall, has a fair complexion, and was last seen wearing a brown maxi dress and leather slippers. She can speak both Hindi and Bangla.
The Sonari police have appealed to the public to immediately inform the police if anyone spots Saraswati Devi or has any information about her whereabouts so that she can be safely reunited with her family.
