Jamshedpur: The impact of the cyclonic storm Michaung on Jharkhand has diminished, bringing about improved weather conditions across the state. The sun has made its appearance, signaling a positive shift in the atmospheric conditions. However, meteorological experts anticipate partly cloudy weather, particularly in the southern and central regions of Jharkhand over the next 24 hours.
According to the forecast from the IMD’s Met Centre, there is an expected abrupt fall in minimum temperatures starting tomorrow. The drop is anticipated to be around three degrees in most parts of the state over the next 72 hours. This change in temperature adds a new dynamic to the weather scenario in Jharkhand.
In the wake of the cyclonic storm, the circulation over south Chhattisgarh and its neighboring areas has now positioned itself over south Chhattisgarh and adjoining Vidarbha, extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.
Over the past 24 hours, the state witnessed light to moderate rainfall in most areas, with heavy rainfall reported at isolated places, including Jamshedpur. The highest recorded rainfall in this period was 75.4 mm at Kharsawan.
Meteorological data reveals that Godda experienced the highest maximum temperature at 25.3°C, while Ranchi recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 15.7°C.
Reflecting on the improved weather conditions, a spokesperson from the meteorological department stated, “The dissipation of cyclonic impact has brought relief, allowing for a more stable atmospheric condition. We advise residents to stay updated with the latest forecasts as some regions might experience partly cloudy conditions in the coming day.”
The recent fluctuations in weather patterns underscore the importance of vigilance and preparedness, even as the immediate threat of the cyclonic storm diminishes. The state remains on alert, with meteorologists closely monitoring the evolving weather scenario.
