Jamshedpur: A workshop and voter awareness program for disabled voters were held at Town Hall, Sidhgora, addressing the importance of their participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal motivated disabled individuals to vote and administered the voter’s oath.
The workshop emphasized the Election Commission’s efforts to facilitate voting for disabled persons, including PWD-friendly facilities, Braille features on EVMs, and optional home voting. District officials encouraged disabled voters to register and exercise their right to vote.

Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, Project Director ITDA Dipankar Chaudhary, SDM Dhalbhum Piyush Sinha, and other officials inspired disabled individuals to actively participate. The program honored 5 disabled individuals for their contributions, and 5 were named PWD Icons for the upcoming elections. A Voter Awareness Rath was also flagged off to educate citizens in urban areas about the importance of voting.
