Jamshedpur, Dec 23: The court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Anil Kumar Mishra sentenced two persons, Shivam and Rahul, to life imprisonment in the sensational Julie Ghosh murder case of Bistupur. It also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on them.
Julie Ghosh was allegedly killed by Shivam and Rahul with axe and shovel on 3rd January 2021 in Dhatkidih Harijan Basti. The incident took place late night when Julie was alone in her house. Shivam was drinking with Rahul Mukhi and two more friends from Kadma outside the house. Shivam allegedly planned to kill his aunty Julie as she reportedly used to stop him from drinking in the verandah of the house. Julie’s second husband Kallu Ghosh was murdered in 2016.
