Jamshedpur: Two arrested in theft case, stolen cash and weapon recovered

Jamshedpur, June 19: In a significant breakthrough, the police have apprehended two suspects involved in a theft case at Vijay Kumar’s grocery shop near Lal Building Chowk, under the jurisdiction of Bagbeda police station. The arrested individuals have been identified as Yash Sharma, also known as Sardar, a resident of Harharguttu, and Vikas Mahto, also known as Bullet. The police successfully recovered the stolen cash and the weapon used in the crime from the suspects.

Providing details of the incident, Station In-Charge KK Jha stated that the theft had occurred recently at Vijay Kumar’s grocery shop, prompting the registration of a case based on the shop’s installed CCTV footage. With the case underway, diligent efforts by the police led to the arrest of both accused individuals. The authorities have been able to retrieve the stolen cash, ensuring that the rightful owner can be reunited with their property. Additionally, the weapon believed to have been used during the incident was also confiscated, bolstering the evidence against the arrested individuals.
