Jamshedpur Eunuch community protest over alleged assault incident

Jamshedpur, June 19: In a disturbing incident, Boney Kinnar, a resident of Sidho-Kanhu Basti under the jurisdiction of Burmamines police station, was subjected to a brutal assault inside her own home. The shocking incident prompted eunuchs from the local community to stage a demonstration within the premises of the police station, demanding swift action against the perpetrators. The situation eventually subsided after reassurances were provided by the station in-charge, Ajay Kumar.

Pinky Kinnar, who provided details about the incident, revealed that numerous eunuchs currently reside in rented houses within Sidho Kanhu Basti. On Monday, tension erupted when Idu, a resident of the basti, accompanied by an associate, forcibly entered Boney Kinnar’s residence and demanded money. Shockingly, they even attempted to coerce her into sexual assault. When Boney Kinnar resisted and raised objections, the two individuals mercilessly thrashed her with sticks before fleeing the scene. As a result, Boney Kinnar sustained injuries. She expressed her plight, stating that she faces constant harassment from the local residents, enduring it silently. Boney affirmed that her protest will persist until both assailants are apprehended and brought to justice.
