Jamshedpur, Sep 12: Excise department teams conducted simultaneous raids in Mango, Kadma, Sonari and Sitaramdera police station areason Monday and arrested two persons for allegedly manufacturing and selling illict liquor. Illicit mahua liquor measuring 140 litres was seized from these distilleries. Those arrested were identified as Cheeku Bag and Avinash Mukhi. The excise officials said the two would be forwarded to judicial custody on Monday. The raids were conducted in Chhayanagar, Jawaharnagar, Kadma staff quarters and Khuntadih. Several people escaped during the raids.
