Jamshedpur, March 26: Two persons were arrested and seven illegal distilleries were busted by a team of Excise department officials here on Saturday. Several Excise teams carried out a series of raids in different police station areas situated on the fringe of East Singhbhum.
They confiscated 300 litres of country-made liquor, 12 litres of foreign liquor and 17,000 kg of Mahua seeds used in liquor manufacturing in the distilleries. The raids were conducted in Bodam, Kowali, MGM and Birsanagar police station areas, sources said.
