Jamshedpur, June 5: Majhi Pargana Mahal strongly opposed the establishment of heavy motor vehicle training center and solid waste treatment plant Plant to be set up at Samutola Khairbani in Govindpur.
Manjhi Pargana Mahal has also decided to organize a mass movement for three other projects of the government.
In this regard, on Monday, Desh Pargana Baiju Murmu of Majhi Pargana Mahal, Torop Pargana Haripado Murmu, Torop Paranik Ledem Kisku, Manjhi Baba Bhagmat Majhi of Khairbani, Hatu Munda Diku Melgadi of Khairwani Samutola and Manpita village head Ramcharan Karmakar jointly held a press conference.
Baiju Murmu told that whatever project the government brings they want to forcefully implement.
He said that establishing the project of urban area in rural area is not compatible with the constitution and rules. Many rural raiyats will come under its purview. Due to which their farming as well as living conditions will be affected. He said that Manjhi Pargana Mahal has decided to strongly oppose the implementation of the said projects.
Ramcharan Karmakar, the village head of Manpita, said that for setting up a heavy motor vehicle training center in the village, the land was measured without the consent of the gram sabha. When the measurements were opposed, the representatives of the government misbehaved with the villagers.
He said that a dialogue was organized by Majhi Baba and social workers of various gram sabhas at Bistupur’s CH Area, Nirmal Guest House.
Manpita village is a revenue village where the district administration without the gram sabha measured the land and land of Jahera, Sarna and Raiyati land have not only been measured, but the process of transfer to the transport department is being initiated without the consent of the village.
Similarly, administrative action is being taken for the construction of sewage treatment plant in Khairbani Samutola without the consent and consultation of the Gram Sabha.
