Jamshedpur, Sep 15: East Singhbhum district administration is planning to start air service from Sonari Airport in the last week of October.
As per Udan scheme, a nine-seater aircraft would connect Jamshedpur to Kolkata and Bhuvneshwar.
In view of the above plan, ADM Law and Order Nand Kishore Lal and ADC Sourabh Sinha convened a meeting with the officials of Sonari Airport, fire department, DSP Traffic and assistant engineer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC). Discussions were held on the security of airport, fire safety arrangements and other vital issues, sources said.
