Jamshedpur, August 13: The construction work of the flyover from Pardih Kali Mandir to Bhilaipahari on National Highway 33 in Jamshedpur is going on at a fast pace.
NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) engineers hope that this flyover will be completed by March next year. The work of this flyover being built at a cost of Rs 690.05 crore is going on at a fast pace.
NHAI engineers said that piling work has been done at 65 places for the flyover. Out of the total budget of the flyover, Rs 279 crore will be spent for the construction of pillars.
If this amount is insufficient, it can also be increased. Right now the work of pillar construction is going on at a fast pace.
NHAI officials say that they are trying to complete the construction work of the flyover within the stipulated time limit of 30 months. The construction work of the flyover is being done by the executive agency HG Infra Engineering.
NHAI Project Director Ekta Kumari said that the construction work of the flyover is going on at a fast pace. The company has been instructed to complete the construction work within the stipulated time limit.
NHAI engineers say that this flyover is being built with the best modern technology so that there is no problem regarding traffic for 50 years in the future. This flyover will continue to meet the traffic needs for 50 years.
This flyover was earlier being built five kilometers long from Pardih to Baliguma. But, later its length has been increased. Now it is being made 10.21 kilometers long. The flyover has been extended from Baliguma to Bhilaipahari. This flyover is being built from 241.940 km to 251.961 km of NH 33.
NHAI engineers said that the pillars of this flyover are being built using steel fiber reinforced technology. This technology will make the flyover very strong and the number of its pillars will also be very less. In this technology, steel fiber is also mixed with concrete in the pillar.
Earlier this double-decker flyover was to be built. Then its cost was Rs 1876 crore. Later, NHAI officials considered it to be too much. When the ministry objected, engineers from Nagpur and Bengaluru were called and the cost of the project was reduced. Now it has been decided not to build a double-decker flyover. Now its cost has been reduced to Rs 690.05 crore.

Regulr commuters from Brahmananda Hospital abd Ashiana Brahmananda Complex residents facing a lot problem as the Tamolia Basti leaving water on public service road. No drianage and roads. Horrible condition. Appeal DC Saraikela/DC Jamshedpur to help victims in this area. Auto rikshas and vendors chocking connecting road to Hospital at NH33. More than 50% of NH33 P.Chowk road encroachments. Local law and order intervention is requested.
You should look at the horrible condition of the ashiana bramhananda society as well. I have heard the new committee is headed by overconfident people who have no idea how to run a society.. And yes the basti people also have a right to live. Ashiana came very late. The basti has been here long time. Just because you live in a society doesn’t mean you can see less of the people living in Basti. God save the country from such people.
We are not asking Tamolia Basti to leave Tamolia…we are asking them to do something about street drainage…its unhygienic even for Basti people.
