Jamshedpur, August 12: A theft incident came to light at DC Lounge in Jawaharnagar Road No. 16 under Azadnagar police station in Mango, Jamshedpur late on Monday night.
Shadab, a resident of Jawaharnagar Road No. 15, told the police that he had gone to DC Lounge to get ready with his brother-in-law on the occasion of his wedding.
After taking the service, he found that his 10 gram gold ring was missing. According to Shadab, on receiving information about the incident, Azadnagar police reached the spot and started the process of searching the CCTV footage.
However, till the time of writing the news, the ring was not recovered and the theft could not be officially confirmed. Police say that the investigation of the case is going on and clues are expected from CCTV recording.
On the other hand, DC Lounge owner Dilip said that he does not have detailed information about this incident, but he is interrogating his staff.
He said that if negligence or involvement of staff is found, appropriate action will be taken. Local people have expressed concern over such incidents and have demanded to tighten the security system. Police have appealed to customers and common people to keep valuables safe in public places and report suspicious activities immediately.
