Jamshedpur: A delegation from Naman, a prominent social organization in the city, met with Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and other officials to extend invitations for the Tiranga Yatra scheduled on March 23. Led by Chief Patron Rakeshwar Pandey, the delegation presented bouquets and shawls as a gesture of respect.
The organization, founded in response to divisive incidents in 2016, has been annually organizing the Akhand Tiranga cum Shaheed Samman Yatra to honor martyrs. This year marks the 9th consecutive year, and preparations are underway for the symbolic journey, expecting cooperation from the community.
The Tiranga Yatra, starting at 9:55 am from Agrico Transport Ground at Sidhgora, witnesses enthusiastic participation from various sections of society, including youth, ex-servicemen, businessmen, and social representatives. The disciplined procession, led by the chariot of Maa Bharati, passes through key locations, paying homage to martyrs at the police line.
Founder Amarpreet Singh Kale emphasized the organization’s commitment to fostering patriotism, love, brotherhood, and social harmony. Notably, the Yatra aims to instill respect for the national flag and immortalize the sacrifices of freedom fighters. As the tradition continues, the community eagerly awaits this significant event to honor and remember the heroes who sacrificed for the nation.
