Jamshedpur: Three accused of attacking builder’s caretaker jailed, vehicle seized

Jamshedpur, August 10: The Adityapur police arrested and sent to jail three youths accused of kidnapping and brutally assaulting Rakesh Kumar Singh, the caretaker of Moksh Apartment Phase-2, on Thursday night. The police lodged an FIR against Jasbir Singh alias Babu Singh, Ganesh Mandal, and Suraj Kumar Rai based on the victim’s statement. The case, numbered 289/24, was registered under various sections of the IPC.

Rakesh Singh reported that while on duty, Jasbir Singh and his associates, all residents of Gamharia, assaulted him by kicking his chair, attacking him with a chair, and pushing him into a ditch, causing serious injuries. The trio then kidnapped him in a car, during which he was further beaten and threatened with death.

Adityapur police, led by station in-charge Nitin Kumar Singh, swiftly responded to the incident. The police have also seized the Toyota car (registration number JH 22 F-1528) used in the crime.
