Jamshedpur: Following notification from the South Eastern Railway (SER) the Jammu Tawi train chugged off to its destination from Tatanagar railway station.
On the occasion, youth leaders Satbir Singh Somu and Inderjit Singh distributed sweets among the passengers. The pilot was also honoured.
On the resumption of the Jammu Tawi train, which had been closed for almost two years since the Corona period, the BJP Sikh leaders expressed happiness by distributing laddus among the passengers in the station premises as well as the train’s driver.
Somu expressed his gratitude to MP Bidhyut Baran Mahato ji and Sardar Shailendra Singh, head of the Jharkhand Pradesh Gurudwara Committee, and all the dignitaries of the society for their movement and tireless efforts.
Inderjit Singh stated that when the MP arrives in the city, he will be greeted by the city’s young friends, who will also request that the train run on a daily basis.
“Over two lakh Sikhs reside in Jamshedpur and adjoining Adityapur town, and they experience acute problems in booking berths on the train that connects to important stations,” said another activist.
