Jamshedpur, July 1: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City started the Rotary year 22-23 with mega blood donation camp at Red Cross Bhavan on Friday, July 1.
Total of 180 units of blood was collected during the day long camp.
BJP spokesperson Kunal Sarangi was also present and motivated the blood donors.
Club members also celebrated Doctors Day by felicitating doctors and also lauded their tireless efforts.
Prominent doctors of Jamshedpur Dr. Mandar Shah, Dr. Shoma Ghosh, Dr. Binayak Barua, Dr. Priyanka Singh, Dr. Urvi Adesara, Dr. Rakhi were honoured.
It is worth mentioning that 1st July is also observed as National Chartered Accountant Day. To mark the occasion Club also felicitated 10 Chartered Accountants from Institute of Chartered Accountant of India, Jamshedpur Branch.
On the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra and establishment day of 157 Battalion CRPF Camp of Adityapur, the club members planted 300 fruit bearing plants in the beautiful campus spread under 15 acres.
Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City President Nikita Mehta, Secretary Umang Jhunjhunwala, Joint Secretary Garvita Taunk, S.N. Thakur, Smita Parikh, Deepak Dokania, Jayshree Goyal, Alpa Parikh, Kamal Makati, Hetal Adesara, Kiran Debuka and others were part of the event.
