Jamshedpur, April 20: The Principal of Tagore Academy, Madhuchhanda Majumdar, met the class II student of her school, Harshita, who was stung by bee during classroom and later hospitalized, and assured her parents of helping her in every possible manner, sources said.
According to sources, the Principal went to Harshita’s residence at Subhash Colony, Mango, with few other staff of the school. She reportedly assured to arrange for online studies of Harshita till her full recovery.
Local BJP leaders were also present at Harshita’s house. They demanded that the school management should bear the hospital expenses in treating Harshita. They also sought immediate sacking of Harshita’s class teacher who had ignored the minor’s complain on being stung by bee. Harshita was sitting in her classroom when a bee entered her uniform and stung her at various places multiple times. When Harshita told her classteacher about the discomfort, the latter reportedly rebuked her and asked her to shut up. The classteacher did not take the child’s problem seriously and instead threatened to demote her to a lower class, said the BJP leaders.
The BJP leaders also demanded removal of beehives from the school premises.
