Jamshedpur, April 4: Amidst scorching hot winds sweeping across Jharkhand, including Kolhan, Jamshedpur witnessed the highest mercury levels among the districts on Thursday. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius with a minimum of 23.6 degrees Celsius.
Forecasts indicate a further rise in temperatures in the upcoming days, signalling the likelihood of intense heat for April as compared to previous years. A yellow alert has been issued for Friday as a heat wave warning. This alert extends to various districts including Simdega, Godda, Pakur, Dumka, Deoghar, Jamtara, Dhanbad, Bokaro, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Seraikela in Jharkhand. Residents have been advised to take necessary precautions to combat the sweltering conditions.
