Jamshedpur: Suspected terrorist Abdul Rehman Katki’s bail rejected

Jamshedpur, September 21: The bail of suspected terrorist Abdul Rehman Katki of Al-Qaeda branch Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) has been rejected by Additional District Sessions Judge Sanjay Kumar Upadhyay of Jamshedpur court.

His advocate Dilip Mahato told that now he will go to the High Court for bail. Recently, Delhi Police took him from Tihar to Jamshedpur.

He has been in jail since his appearance. Katki was arrested from Odisha. An FIR against Abdul Sami, Abdul Rehman Katki, Maulana Kalimuddin, Abdul Masood and Naseem and others for joining terrorist organization Al Qaeda, expanding the organization, inciting youth and treason was registered at Bistupur police station on January 25, 2016.

The testimony did not take place. On Wednesday, there was the appearance of Abdul Rehman Katki, Maulana Kalim, which took place through the video conference.

The process of testimony was to take place in this hearing, but no witness of the charge sheet came. After this the next date of appearance was fixed.
