Aimed at bringing together thousands of devotees, the yatra will commence from Hari Maidan in Baridih and conclude at the Surya Mandir premises where devotees will offer sacred water to Lord Shiva.

The announcement was made during a general meeting of the committee, chaired by Bhupendra Singh, in the presence of former Chief Minister and chief patron of the committee, Raghubar Das and  patron Chandragupt Singh. Singh stated that the yatra will begin at 7:00 AM with devotees collecting water and proceeding on foot to the temple for the Jalabhishek. A target of 21,000 devotees has been set for this year’s event. After the ritual, devotees will be served Mahaprasad and  devotional tableaux and bhajan teams will add a spiritual touch to the yatra.

Former CM Raghubar Das described the event as a symbol of social unity and called for maximum participation. “The journey is filled with devotion and strengthens communal harmony every year,” he said. Patron Chandragupt Singh also emphasized the spiritual importance of the event and termed it a historic tradition not just for Jamshedpur but for all of Jharkhand.

Various sub-committees have been formed to handle arrangements, from crowd control and decorations to prasadam and media coordination. The evening will culminate with a grand aarti, modeled after the iconic Ganga Aarti of Varanasi.
