Jamshedpur, Jan 6: The Surya Mandir Committee held an important executive meeting on Monday at the Surya Dham premises in Sidhgora, under the leadership of Bhupendra Singh. Former Chief Minister Raghubar Das and patron Chandragupta Singh were prominent attendees of the meeting.

One of the key decisions taken was to begin preparations for the fifth anniversary of the establishment of Shri Ram Darbar, which will be celebrated with great enthusiasm in February 2025. Bhupendra Singh, Chairman of the Surya Mandir Committee, shared the event’s outline, highlighting the presence of a renowned Ram Katha narrator for a seven-day Shri Ram Katha session. The event will be inaugurated on February 22, 2025, and will conclude on March 1, with the distribution of Mahaprasad.
The committee also announced a kite competition as part of the Kite Festival on January 15, 2025. This event will see active participation from youth and women from different areas.
In a special announcement, Raghubar Das was re-nominated as the Chief Patron of the Surya Mandir Samiti. During the meeting, the committee members congratulated him with a bouquet and shawl.
Raghubar Das expressed his happiness at being re-associated with the committee. He praised the successful execution of past events, attributing them to the active support of Jamshedpur’s religious community. “This tradition not only promotes religious harmony but also spreads the message of unity,” he said, urging the community to support the upcoming events.
Patron Chandragupta Singh also expressed enthusiasm over the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir anniversary celebrations and emphasized the committee’s focus on redecorating and maintaining the temple complex. He was confident that the Jamshedpur community would extend their full support.
The meeting was conducted by Vice President Amarjit Singh Raja, with a vote of thanks delivered by Media In-charge Prem Jha.
