Jamshedpur woman alleges sexual exploitation on pretext of marriage, FIR filed

Jamshedpur, Jan 6: An FIR has been registered against Nafees Alam at Bagbera police station for allegedly sexually exploiting a woman from Jugsalai under the pretext of marriage.

According to the woman’s statement to the police, the incident occurred on October 16, 2024. She had been acquainted with Nafees Alam, a resident of Chandrapur in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district, and the two regularly communicated over the phone. The accused reportedly took her to Raja Lodge on Baghbera Station Road, where he allegedly established physical relations with her, promising marriage. However, he later refused to fulfil the promise.

Based on the woman’s complaint, the police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the accused.
