Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, April 30: Members of Akhil Jharkhand Chhatra Sangh staged a demonstration at the entrance gate of SDSM School on Saturday to protest against the alleged refusal by the school administration to allow a girl student, Surabhi Giri, from taking his 12th Board exam. The examinee, a class XII student of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, had reached the exam centre late and was hence disallowed from entering the examination hall. Her mother had requested the school authorities to let her daughter take the exam, but her plea was rejected, said Hemant Pathak, president of the student union’s Kolhan unit.

Pathak said the issue would be taken up with the state education minister to ensure justice for the student.
