Jamshedpur: Starlet Madhuri Dixit’s fan performs Ganesh Puja in Marathi tradition

Jamshedpur, September 7: Popular Madhuri Dixit fan Pappu Sardar marked this year’s Ganesh Chaturthi with prayers and rituals performed in authentic Marathi tradition. The puja, conducted by Pandit Santosh Kumar Tripathi, was performed in Pappu’s home. The idol of Lord Ganesh was decorated with vibrantly colourful flowers and lamps. A photograph of matinee idol Madhuri Dixit also found a pride of place in the decorated area. Pappu Sardar prayed for the wellbeing of Madhuri Dixit and that of his family. Prasad in the form of modak and other sweets was distributed among all present. Friends and neighbors joined in the celebration, appreciating the distinctive cultural homage. Pappu Sardar shared that his inspiration from Maharashtra’s traditions added a deeper sense of devotion and respect to this year’s Ganesh Chaturthi festivities.

Ganesh Chaturthi celebrated at Shri Sainath Devasthanam

Jamshedpur, September 7: Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with devotion at the Ganapati temple within the Shri Sainath Devasthanam premises in Ghorabandha, Telco. The event, organized by Sai Parivar Vishwa Seva Sansthan, Jamshedpur, saw a large number of devotees gathering to offer their prayers.

The day began with the resonating sounds of bells and gongs, as devotees paid their respects to Shri Vinayak and recited the Ganapati Atharvashirsha. Offerings of durva, bananas, modaks, and Motichoor laddus were made to Shri Gajanan, with prayers for the well-being of families.The evening Maha Aarti was followed by the recitation of Ganapati Sahasranama Paath. The prayer rituals, including the morning Abhishek and Ganapati Havan were conducted under the guidance of Pandit Nandlal Mishra and Pandit Sujit Kumar Pathak.

 

Shiksha Niketan School observes Ganesh Chaturthi

Jamshedpur, September 7: Shiksha Niketan School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great enthusiasm and devotion. The school installed an idol of Lord Ganesh, which was worshipped with reverence. Students, along with Principal Sumita Dey, Vice-Principal Rajni Pandey, and other teachers, offered flowers to the deity.

The celebration also featured a cultural program presented by the students, adding to the festive spirit of the occasion.
