Jamshedpur: St. Thomas Day celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Golmuri

Jamshedpur, July 6: St. Thomas Day was celebrated by members of Kerala Catholic Association (KCA) at St. Joseph Church in Golmuri. Kerala Catholic Association was formed in 1960 and currently includes more than 130 families as members of this association.

The mass was led by Father John Ottaplackal, Father Alwin, Father Jhony Vidyatehil, Father K.M. Joseph, Father Sebastian Putthenpura, Father Martin, Farther P.D. Johny, Father Rheo, and Father Akshay.

A cultural programme was organized by the wards of Kerala Catholic Association members. The program commenced with a short prayer and welcome speech by Association President A.L. Abraham. Songs and dances were presented by the children while the ladies performed a Kerala marriage dance.

The songs that were rendered included, ‘Christ is King.’ A quiz competition based on St Thomas was organized. The vote of thanks was offered by Association Secretary, Preethi Jiju.
