Jamshedpur, August 29. East Singhbhum district’s SSP Prabhat Kumar had given strict orders to all the traffic police personnel in the past to give exemption in traffic rules to the elderly and people going for emergency work, they should not be stopped.
ASI Rajkumar Yadav posted at Golmuri traffic station, who ignored this order of SSP, has been suspended.
In fact, Meera Devi, a resident of Parsudih, had complained to the SSP regarding the matter. Meera Devi had told in the complaint that on August 26, she along with her husband Pramod was going to meet her daughter admitted in Tata Motors. Her husband was wearing a helmet, but she was not wearing a helmet.
He was stopped by the police near Govindpur Anna Chowk and demanded a fine. She told the concerned officer that she was going to the hospital. Despite this, she was not allowed to go.
In the end, he gave Rs 50 to that officer (Rajkumar Yadav) and then went and let him go to the hospital. Taking the matter seriously, the SSP formed an investigation team. It was revealed in the investigation that Rajkumar had ignored the order, but the matter of taking Rs 50 was not confirmed. Rajkumar has been suspended for ignoring the order.
