Jamshedpur, Oct 2: In a bid to enhance safety and security ahead of the Durga Puja festivities, SSP Kishore Kaushal has ordered an immediate verification of criminals in Jamshedpur. During a crime meeting held on Monday in the Deputy Commissioner’s auditorium, he directed all police station in-charges to compile a comprehensive list of criminals in their respective areas, detailing those incarcerated and those on the streets.
The SSP highlighted the importance of proactive measures to prevent crimes such as pickpocketing and theft during the bustling festival season. He urged increased vigilance in crowded areas and marketplaces, instructing officers to prepare detailed field reports on all puja celebrations within their jurisdiction. Furthermore, the meeting addressed electoral preparations, with the SSP stressing the need for effective strategies ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. All DSPs and police station in-charges were present, reinforcing the urgency of these directives.
