Jamshedpur, March 4: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of East Singhbhum M Tamil Vanan said the district police was doing its best to improve the law and order situation in the city. He said controlling crimes was top on priority and that measures were underway to plug the loopholes in policing.

The SSP recently held meetings with the senior police officials of the city and chalked out plans to improve law and order and prevent loot, theft and other crimes. He is keeping a close watch on policing by personally visiting various police station areas. He is not only leading the police teams but also interacting with the citizens to assure them of round-the-clock safety.

City police have sought public information regarding the criminals involved in the recent incidents of loot at Bistupur, Sakchi and other places.

They also released the sketches of two suspects in the gold loot case of Sakchi. A cash reward of Rs 50,000 has been announced against the culprits in this case.
