Jamshedpur: Bail plea of Dawood Ibrahim aide Majid Kutti rejected

Jamshedpur, March 4: The court of additional district and sessions judge (I), Jamshedpur, here on Friday rejected the bail petition of Abdul Majid Kutti alias Mohammad Kamal, alleged aide of the underworld fugitive Dawood Ibrahim.

Kutti was arrested by the Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) team of Gujarat on 26th December 2020 near Bari Masjid in Mango. He was absconding in a case of arms recovery in Mehsana (Gujarat) in 1996. The ATS team had claimed to have obtained information about his aides during his interrogation.

Sources said Kutti had reached Jamshedpur from Malaysia in June 2019. Here he lived with Majid family in Telco prior to June 2019 and later moved into a duplex in Sahara City. After 24 years, he was arrested by the ATS on the basis of his mobile phone location, sources said.
