Jamshedpur, March 4: Police arrested a youth with two packets of brown sugar from Sidhgora police station area here on Friday.
The accused, identified as Deepak Kumar Bhatt, was reportedly trying to solicit prospective customers in the area. Local residents soon tipped off police about him. Cops arrested the youth after finding two packets of the narcotic substance on him.
In another incident, a youth, identified as Rahul, was arrested from Sakchi market late Thursday night.
Sources said a police patrol team noticed Rahul lurking around the marketplace during late hours. Rahul first tried to evade arrest but was soon caught by the alert cops. He reportedly confessed his plans to commit theft in the market. He was sent to judicial custody.
