Jamshedpur, July 13: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ehtesham Waqarib directed field personnel to intensify anti-crime patrolling and maintain maximum vigilance across the city, warning that any negligence in duty would invite strict disciplinary action.
During a briefing session held at the CCR Sakchi premises, the SSP addressed personnel of the Tango Mobile units, PCR teams, Shakti Commandos and the Quick Response Team (QRT).
The briefing was attended by the City SP, Deputy Superintendent of Police (CCR), Police Inspector (CCR) and the Officer-in-Charge of Sakchi police station.
The SSP instructed the personnel to remain alert while on patrol, crack down on loitering and anti-social elements, and carry out intensive anti-crime checking in their respective areas. He also directed the teams to immediately report any information regarding illegal or suspicious activities to the concerned police station and the police control room for prompt action.
Emphasising accountability, the SSP cautioned that any lapse or dereliction of duty would be dealt with sternly. At the same time, he said officers and personnel demonstrating exemplary performance in the field would be recognised and rewarded, encouraging a culture of professionalism and proactive policing.
