Jamshedpur, May 4: Superintendent of Police (City) of Jamshedpur K Vijay Shankar launched a campaign against rash driving and violation of traffic laws on Wednesday. He led the vehicle checking drive near Jubilee Park at Bistupur.

Several vehicles were seized after their drivers were found not wearing helmets and seat belts. Vehicles parked in no parking zones were also confiscated by police. Rash drivers were especially targeted by the cops.

The SP said numerous complaints against rash drivers were received by police. Rash drivers take over the city streets at different places after dusk, threatening to invite major accidents.

The SP said the campaign would continue indefinitely to crack down on traffic offenders.
