Jamshedpur: BSF jawan Kishan Dubey honoured with Police Medal for PMG posthumously by Home Minister Amit Shah

Jamshedpur, December 1: Slain BSF jawan Kishan Dubey, who sacrificed his life while performing his duty in Jammu and Kashmir, was posthumously awarded the Police Medal for PMG by Home Minister Amit Shah in Hazaribagh on Friday.

Kishan Dubey’s mother received gallantry award at Meru Camp BSF Training Center and School in Hazaribagh district during the 59th raising day function.

Home Minister Amit Shah said that lakhs of border guards of BSF have spent the golden period of their lives in the desert ranging from -40 degree Celsius to 45 degree Celsius and in adverse climatic situations.

Incidentally, President Draupadi Murmu had announced the medal of Martyr Kishan Dubey, resident of Kitadih, on the eve of Independence Day 2023.

Kishan Dubey, posted at FDL post in Navgaon sector of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, was attacked with sniper shots by SSG commandos from Pakistan’s POK-2 in the evening. During this time Kishan Dubey was martyred.
