Jamshedpur, December 1: Jharkhand Bidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) is also going to increase its electricity rates. An announcement has been made regarding the new electricity tariff, under which an application has been given to the Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission.
Under this, an increase of up to 25 percent has been proposed. In the new tariff petition, the corporation has said that there is a revenue gap of about Rs 2500 crore, to compensate for which it is necessary that the electricity tariff will be increased. The corporation has said that Rs 9,000 crore is required to maintain its expenses.
Now the commission will take the final decision regarding the new electricity rate. There will once again be a public hearing regarding this, based on which the electricity tariff will be approved. According to the information, it has been said that it is very important to increase the tariff petition by 25 percent.
