Jamshedpur: SIT cracks Sonu Sardar Murder Case, two arrested, weapon recovered

Jamshedpur: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by Seraikela SP has made significant progress in the murder case of Sonu Sardar, husband of Yashpur Panchayat Mukhiya Parvati Sardar and President of the District Para Teachers Union. Sardar was killed late Friday night while returning from a birthday party near his village.

According to sources, the SIT has arrested two suspects and recovered the pistol used in the crime. While the motive for the murder remained unclear, initial theories about the case appeared to have been ruled out. An official statement from the police is expected on Monday.

Sonu Sardar, known for his popularity in the education department and his close association with former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, was an active participant in the social and political affairs of Yashpur Panchayat. Following the murder, the police recovered seven cartridges from the crime scene.

The incident sparked protests from para teachers, political, and social organizations, demanding swift justice and a thorough investigation. All eyes are now on the police’s forthcoming disclosure.
