Jamshedpur shops dealing with edible items, medicine to open on Sundays till 8 pm

Jamshedpur, July 30: All other shops and business establishments will remain closed on Sunday till Monday 6 am in Jamshedpur and across Jharkhand except, shops dealing with food items, grocery stores, sweets shops, shops selling vegetables and non-vegetable items. However, fuel refill stations and warehouses can continue to operate.  However, shops allowed to open on Sundays will have to close down at 8 pm.

Incidentally, earlier only milk shops and medicine shops and medical centres were allowed to operate on Sundays during the ‘weekend lockdown’ imposed by the state government to curb spread of Covid  during Sundays which is used as a holiday by the masses.

Industrial units and factories can also open on Sundays.
