Jamshedpur, Jan 12: Director of Sreeleathers at Bistupur and eminent social activist Shekhar Dey today presented 500 T shirts and 7,000 caps at the initiative of Prateek Sangharsh Foundation to be distributed among voluntary blood and SDP donors. Shekhar Dey stated on the occasion, “Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary is being celebrated as National Youth Day.
The declaration of celebrating Swami Vivekananda’s birthday was announced in 1984 by the Indian government and is being celebrated since 1985.“ Jamshedpur Blood Bank Secretary Nalini Ramamurthy, Joint Secretary Ravindra Duggal, General Manager Sanjay Chaudhary and Dr Luv Bahadur Singh were present on the occasion. Shekhar Dey was honoured with a shawl and bouquet. “I am ever willing to serve people, especially those who are old and infirm. My freedom fighter father, late Suresh Chandra Dey and my mother always urged us to love India and Indians. I love my India and all Indians and in all humility, I salute people who donate SDP and blood regularly.”
