Jamshedpur, Jan 12: A mother and her son died while three others got seriously injured in a road accident on Kandra-Seraikela route late Thursday evening.
The deceased were identified as Ratni Mahato and Satyam Mahato. The injured, Arun Mahato, his mother-in-law Sumitra Devi and son Shivam Mahato, were taken to MGM Hospital.
Sources said the mishap occurred when a truck ran over Ratni and her son near Mudiya. The mother and son due died at the scene. Ratni’s husband Arun said he had come to Dugni for shopping before going to Kolabira when the truck took them in its spate.
