Jamshedpur, June 19: In a remarkable achievement, seven talented Taekwondo players from Jharkhand Taekwondo Academy, namely Shekhar Ghoshal, Abhijit Mandal, Ashok Mahato, Sahdev Sardar, Ravi Mishra, Abhishek Das, and Raja Barik, were awarded black belts after successfully clearing the black belt examination held at Tata Steel Adventure Camp in Turi. The prestigious ceremony took place at Rajendra Bhavan Golmuri, Jamshedpur, where the players were honored in the presence of esteemed guests.
Chief Guest Ramakant Giri, General Manager of Cross Limited Company, felicitated the players with the black belts, symbolizing their remarkable dedication and skill in the martial art form. The event was organized by Jharkhand Taekwondo Academy and Director of Social Action, Ravi Shankar, who played a pivotal role in recognizing and honoring the players’ achievements.
The players received their certificates and identity cards from the Taekwondo World Headquarters in South Korea. The ceremony also saw the presence of Abhijit Sarkar, JMM District Organization Secretary, social worker Sanjay Kumar, Taekwondo and Sports Teacher Shri Krishna Public School Bistupur Dayal Singh Mehra, and Taekwondo and Sports Teacher Vikram Barik from Delhi Public School Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. These individuals extended their support to the players by presenting bouquets and gifts, encouraging them to continue their exceptional performance. The event witnessed a significant turnout, with the presence of proud parents, fellow players, and well-wishers. Ayush Pandey, Samridhi Mishra, Mousumi Gorai, Manpreet Singh, and Suman Kumari were among the attendees who joined in celebrating this momentous occasion.
