Jamshedpur SDO inspects Parsudih Mandi strongroom

Jamshedpur, May 3: Dhalbhumgarh Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) Sandeep Kumar Meena visited the Parsudih Mandi premises on Tuesday to inspect the strongroom cum counting centre ahead of the upcoming Panchayat polls. He was accompanied by the district Panchayati Raj Officer Dr Rajnikant Mishra, Jamshedpur BDO Praveen Kumar and CO Amit Srivastava.

The SDO inspected parking facility and security arrangements inside the strongroom and counting centre and reviewed the facilities available for voters. He directed the officials concerned to ensure cleanliness, illumination, drinking water and toilet facilities for the voters, sources said.

Sources said the Parsudih-based strongroom and counting centre would be used in the fourth phase of Panchayat elections. In the first and second phases, the strongroom and counting centre in Ghatsila would be used while in the third phase, the strongroom and counting centre at Jamshedpur Co-operative College, Jamshedpur, would be used, sources said.
