Jamshedpur schools to run from 6 am to 10.30 am, notification soon

Ranchi/Jamshedpur, April 26: Now classes in schools in Jharkhand including Jamshedpur will run from 6 am to 10:30 am. A notification to this effect will be out soon.

The state education minister Jagarnath Mahato on Tuesday announced that government would soon issue a notification for classes in schools between 6 am and 10.30 am due to the intense heatwave across Jharkhand.

Classes will now run from 6:00 am to 10:30 am in all government and private schools in Jharkhand. Education Minister Jagannath Mahto has said in a statement given to the media persons after the cabinet meeting in Ranchi that soon the education department will issue a notification in this regard. The Education Minister said, this decision has been taken keeping in mind the increasing heat and health of the children.

Incidentally, earlier this month, the government education and literacy department had rescheduled the school timing from 7 am and 1 pm to 6 am and 12 noon due to the heat wave. However, with the temperature soaring above 40 degree Celsius in most of the districts by noon the government has decided to reduce the timing.

A notification would be issued by the primary directorate soon.
