Jharkhand to purchase electricity at higher rate to tackle power crisis: CM Hemant

Ranchi, April 26: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has assured to take initiative to solve the problem in view of the power crisis in the state. After the cabinet meeting, he said in the Ministry of Project Building on Tuesday that the problem of electricity is present in the whole country. This problem has arisen due to not being able to purchase electricity from the market. The state government has provided additional funds to the Energy Department so that the department can purchase electricity from the Indian Energy Exchange by beading at a higher rate. The aim of the government is to solve the power problem in the state.

The Chief Minister said that keeping in view the convenience of the people, the government has also bought electricity at the rate of Rs 20 per unit and delivered it to the consumers. Right now the talk of buying electricity at the rate of Rs 12 per unit is coming to the fore. The Chief Minister said that there is a continuous change in the demand of electricity in the scorching summer. Sometimes there is a sudden increase in demand during the night and sometimes there is an increase in the demand even during the day. Sometimes it happens that electricity is bought but it cannot be used. He needs to surrender. There is also a need to strike a balance between the purchase and use of electricity so that money can be utilized properly.

The department should ensure the availability of electricity in the state

The department has been directed to ensure the availability of electricity in the state. Work has also started in this direction. Now the problem is fully expected to be resolved. At present, the heat is wreaking havoc. If anything suddenly comes to the fore, then many problems arise. Due to Corona, not only the country but the whole world got disturbed. No matter how much preparation you make, sometimes such a situation arises due to which a problem arises. He is keeping an eye on the problem of electricity. This problem is in other states of the country. Talking about the technical aspect, the power generating machine is not able to carry a lot of load in the present environment. Machines also need to be rested. In such a situation, forcing with the plant can cause more problems.

Earlier, Sakshi Singh , the wife of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has questioned the Jharkhand government over the “power crisis” in the state.

As a taxpayer of Jharkhand just want to know why is there a power crisis in Jharkhand since so many years? We are doing our part by consciously making sure we save energy!” Sakshi Dhoni tweeted.
