Jamshedpur Airport : SCCI delegation meets DC with 16 demands

Jamshedpur, April 22: A delegation of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) met East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav on Friday and raised 16 demands pertaining to various civic amenities and local public interest issues.

Leading the delegation, SCCI president Vijay Anand Moonka said he had drawn the attention of the district administration towards the most relevant issues related to public utilities and various facilities for trade and commerce activities. A 16-point memorandum was handed over to the DC who gave assurance to look into the demands and fulfill them as far as possible, he said.

The demands include airport in city to ensure better connectivity, keeping power tariff in Kolhan at par with other Jharkhand districts, removal of encroachment on roads in Sakchi Market, starting registration in Tata command area, pre-paid auto-rickshaw and car service at Tatanagar railway station, setting up micro land cluster for small industries and trading cluster in Jamshedpur, installation of CCTV cameras in banks, parking facility, allotment of space to fire brigade, leveling of pits and toilet facility in Jugsalai, reconstruction of Station Road, tourism promotion and issuance of arms licence to traders.
