Jamshedpur, June 25: A three-day program on Rotary Youth Leadership Awards – 2022 (RYLA) was hosted by all the Rotary Clubs of Jamshedpur that was exclusively designed to unearth leadership potentials among the nation builders of tomorrow. The enthusiasm of 350 students from various schools in Jamshedpur was very much visible as the children showed keen interest in the three day camp that commenced on June 24. The programme was inaugurated by Rotary District Governor Rtn Pratim Banerjee. The Guests of Honor at the function were DBMS Principal Rajani Shekhar and Chief (Procurement) Tata Steel, Rtn Amitava Bakshi.
Chairperson Simran Sagoo, while welcoming the guests, introduced the purpose of organizing the three day RYLA-2022 programme. District Governor Rtn Pratim Banerjee motivated the participating students and explained that RYLA was all about connecting, learning and enjoying. He also said that it was more than just joy to see the 350 participating students from various schools of Jamshedpur taking a keen interest in the programme. Pratim Banerjee observed, “RYLA is a leadership programme for the youth wing of Rotary. The aim is to recognize potential young leaders and provide them with an opportunity to understand and expand their perceptions and ideals.”
Past District Governor Rtn Ronald D’Costa performed the special ‘Ice Breaking’ ceremony. He observed on the occasion, “RYLA participants gain knowledge about themselves and learn to work with others in order to become a better person and a future leader.”
The other highlight on the inaugural function was celebrity singer, Sirsha Rakshit who rocked the evening proceedings with the melodious rendition of her dance numbers that had become chart busters after their release.
