Jamshedpur school students attend training session on defensive driving, cyber and mobile safety

280 children of 27 schools of Jamshedpur benefit from session

Jamshedpur, June 25: SAFE (Safety Awareness for Everyone) organised a training session for 280 children of 27 schools of Jamshedpur at the Kudy Mahanty Auditorium today. The session covered topics like risk perception for school children, defensive driving, cyber and mobile safety.

The session was inaugurated by Varsha Daga, Committee Member, SAFE and Sunil Kumar, Head, Workplace Safety, Tata Steel. 40 SAFE coordinators also attended the session.

The sessions were very interactive, and many questions were asked by the children and SAFE coordinators. Quizzes were also conducted, and chocolates were given to the winners.

Mom Mitra, Manager, Safety, Tata Steel who is also SAFE convener covered the topics of risk perception and road safety, and Anuj Kumar, Head, Information and Data Security, Tata Steel conducted the sessions on cyber security.

SAFE will conduct these training sessions quarterly to increase safety awareness among school children on various topics.

The SAFE club is a conglomerate of schools of Jamshedpur chaired by Ruchi Narendran. Tata Steel facilitates this initiative by organizing training on various topics and conducting mock drills for schools.
