Jamshedpur: RSS veteran Manager Prasad no more, condolences pour in

Jamshedpur, Feb 13: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh veteran and former BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar member Manager Prasad passed away on Sunday. He was 79.

Sources said the last rites would be performed tomorrow at Subernarekha Burning Ghat, Bhuiyandih.

Condolences poured in from various quarters including the party ranks soon after the news transpired. Many BJP leaders termed Prasad’s death as a big loss to RSS and the BJP.

BJP national vice president and former CM Raghubar Das said, “It’s a personal loss to me. Prasadjee had dedicated his entire life to strengthening the party organization. He guided thousands of party workers of the city for a long time and instilled long-lasting values in them. His absence will be felt for a long time by everyone.”

State BJP spokesperson and former Baharagora MLA Kunal Sarangi said the party had lost a senior member and guardian. He said Prasad would always remain a source of inspiration for the party workers.

Jamshedpur Mahanagar president of BJP Gunjan Yadav said Prasad was an able leader who had inspired many young party workers in his days of struggle.

Others who paid tribute to the deceased party leader included Chandrashekhar Mishra, Rajan Singh, Rakesh Singh, Anil Modi, Sudhanshu Ojha, Sanjeev Sinha and Prem Jha.
