Chaibasa, Feb 13: Team Electronic Media emerged winners of the Media Cup Cricket Tournament 2022 by defeating Team Print Media by 10 wickets at the Birsa Munda Cricket Stadium here on Sunday.
The much coveted event was organized under the auspices of Singhbhum Journalists Association. It was inaugurated by Chaibasa MLA Deepak Birua. Team Print Media won the toss and decided to bat first. In the fixed 15 over, they scored 99 in all. Shishir Toppo contributed 28 runs. Team Electronic Media scored 100 runs in just 10 over without any loss of wickets. Sujit Kumar scored 53 not out while Dilip Banerjee fetched 27 runs not out. Man of The Match was given to Sujit Kumar.
West Singhbhum deputy commissioner Ananya Mittal and SDO Shashindra Kumar Badaik gave away the prizes on the occasion. Tributes were paid to deceased journalists Rajesh Pati and Anant Vijay Mishra by the participants.
Others present at the event included Rajeev Nayanam, Dilip Banerjee, Sunil Kumar Sinha and Uday Pratap Singh.
