Jamshedpur, Feb 27: The residents of Kadma Uliyan Tank Road are expressing growing frustration over the work practices of GAIL India. More than a year and a half ago, the company initiated the process of laying gas pipelines in the area, assuring residents that service connections would soon follow. However, despite the completion of the initial installation, the promised connections were never provided, leaving residents feeling misled.
To add to their woes, contract workers have now returned to dig up the other side of the road, stating that another gas pipeline needs to be laid. This new excavation has severely damaged recently renovated roads and underground drains built by JNAC using coloured bricks, causing inconvenience to daily commuters. Residents fear that GAIL India’s inefficient planning and lack of coordination may lead to prolonged disruptions. They are now demanding transparency and accountability from the company to prevent further damage and unnecessary delays in service provision.
