Jamshedpur, July 14: The positive case count in Jamshedpur has been reduced to single digit again. Jamshedpur reported four positive cases for second day in a row on Wednesday while zero death was recorded.
The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 51705.
8 people recovered of the virus on Wednesday taking the total recovery to 50591 while total active cases in Jamshedpur have come down to 60.
Of the 60 patients still undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in the district, most are in home isolation, while some are being treated at care centres and hospitals.
Of the 4 new cases, 1 each was reported from Birsanagar, Telco, Sundernagar, Patamda.
As many as 8 people recovered from the virus on Wednesday taking the overall recoveries to 50591 which accounts for a recovery rate of 97.85%.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 427063 tests per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.85% while the mortality rate is 2.04 %.
With 4 new Covid-19 cases, Jamshedpur’s positivity rate on Wednesday remained below 1%, as the city stayed on the recovery path after a brutal wave of infections between April and May. The positivity rate stood at 0.09% on Wednesday.
More than 4500 were tested on the day. Data from the state government’s daily health bulletin showed that the Covid-19 test positivity is 0.09%. The state, too, witnessed a massive fall in infections and fatalities.
The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 0.09 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 4500 tests in the last 24 hours.
The Steel City tested 4522 samples, of which, 4 turned out positive while 8 people recovered from the Covid-19. The continuous high numbers of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 0.09 per cent, the government data showed.
So far in Jamshedpur 1154355 samples have been collected out of which 1136843 have been tested and 1085138 have turned out to be negative.
